Friday morning thoughts

Well, Rachel's Pre-K paraprofessional training is behind us.  The Lord protected our travel two days as we went to "The Classic Center," in Athens, GA.  Nice facility.  She is back to work with her little guys and looking forward to a restful weekend.  All her conversation is about the two year anniversary coming up next month with her fella.  Even though they aren't "hitched" yet, it is a wonder all the changes the last two years have brought with this couple.  As a momma, I love watching her mature and continuously "stretch her wings."
Although she doesn't think she needs me anymore, I notice she continues to share much of her daily happenings with me.  I wouldn't trade it for the world! It seems the Lord is helping me let her go in bits and pieces.  I appreciate that because I do not know if I could take it all at once.
In any case, it is a wonder to listen to how she thinks and processes life events, the good and the bad.
Personally, not much happens on the home front.  I work a little, have am/pm devotions, attend GBC regularly, love playing the piano there and rest.
The last year has seen much peace in this believer's heart.  However, the financial burdens are still in evidence.  They must be my "thorn in the side."  If that is the case, I will remember what the Lord told Paul when asked to remove the heavy burden; "My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities..."  (II Cor 12.9, 10)
"Pleasure in infirmities..."  Wow, what a mouthful!  So, the lower the finances, the greater the deliverance.  In other words, I will "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." (Prov 3.5)
Take time to notice other blog sites tabbed above.  I believe you will enjoy them and find encouragement.  God bless any reader, is my prayer.
