He giveth and giveth and giveth again. Yesterday, my sweet child was in an accident that claimed the car but not her life. I am thankful to the Lord for sparing her. It could've been so much worse. As she walked out the door to run an errand, my heart "knew," the only way a mother's heart could know, something was amiss. However, as stated, she was spared. Her fear was profound and the question "why did this happen?," was asked over and over again. Then, in the wee hours of the morning, clear as a bell, she said, "momma, I know why this happened." She explained that the Lord had warned her and she heard it clearly and distinctly in her heart, "don't do it." She had examined a thing for which she had been taught to stay away and then the Holy Ghost spoke to her heart directly and said, "don't." Yes, she was spared but a valuable lesson was learned. "Whatever He telleth you to do, do it!"
We have learned over and over the last 12 years how very much our Lord loves us.
Like a parent warns a disobedient child, so the Lord...Out of love, to keep the object of the affection from harm.
This writer wants to use this space and this time to thank Him and praise Him for sparing this child for which was prayed. Like Hannah of old, understood is that she is lent to this mother's arms ever so briefly then she must seek His will of her own. Like Hannah, this mother will continue to pray a hedge around her whereever she goes, with whomever she goes and whatever choices she makes.
Amen. Ps. 57.7, Isa 30.15
