For this child I prayed...(I Sam 1.27)

She's been a wife two days.  For this child I prayed (I Sam 1.27) and the Lord granted my petition.  Nineteen years I was given to raise her towards Him.  By her testimony, she gave her heart to the Lord at the tender age of seven.  He knew what battles she would face before bringing her to her wedding day.  By His grace, we survived.  While I will, of course, always be her mother, it is my privilege to yield her to another.  Many emotions have passed my heart in the last two days but the one I intend to focus on is the love and maternal pride I feel towards my sweet Rachel and her new husband and my son inlaw.  By the Lord's grace I have "fixed my heart" to pray for them and continue to be a momma who is always available for her children.
Of greater titles, there is no other, than to be "Rachel's mother."
Thank you, Lord for her wedding day, her husband, our new family.  They are Christians in testimony and deed.  I am secure in the knowledge of the truth Thou hast promised "never to leave or forsake me."  This recent event is more proof of that love.
I retire and resign the blog title "Greenland," to simply "My testimony..."
Ps 57.7, Isa 30.15  Amen.
